Nominations for the AEC

The GTS Alumni/ae Executive Committee is currently accepting nominations for three new members. Members of the AEC serve three-year terms and may be reelected only once. Terms begin January 1 of the year following election.

All graduates or matriculated former students of GTS, both lay and ordained, are considered to be active members of the Associated Alumni/ae and are eligible to serve on the AEC. The purpose of the AEC, which consists of nine elected members along with appointed Provincial Representatives, is to manage the affairs and business of the Association.

The AEC meets once a year in person on the Close, during Alumni/ae Week, which is held the second week in June. Approximately six other meetings are held by Zoom during the year.

AEC meetings normally include reports from the Dean and President and the Senior Vice President. Typical business includes nominating the recipient of the Distinguished Alumni/ae Award and planning and supporting any events involving Alumni/ae, including the June Alumni Week. Members are expected to use every opportunity to communicate with alumni/ae about the continuing life of the Seminary, and to encourage connection and participation.
